Kickstarter For Cat Hamster Wheel Raises 120,000 Dollars - Time

Its still in its funding stages, but a Kickstarter campaign has already vastly exceeded its goal of $10,000. In just a few weeks, supporters of this exercise wheel called One Fast Cat have pledged well over $120,000. But why a hamster wheel? Its good for cats to get some sort of workout and changing it up to keep them interested is important, creator Sean Farley wrote on the Kickstarter page. There are many ways to keep your cat lively, giving them access to energetic companions, making a play session part of their day, and/or offering them tempting exercise equipment for use when youre not at homethats why we came up with One Fast Cat cat wheel. Okay then! Heres a look at how the contraption works: After giving this some thought, were not really surprised that the campaign surpassed its funding goal. Its 2014. If theres wine for cats , why cant there be a hamster wheel for cats too? Team Report - Pittsburgh Steelers - Yahoo Sports

The Steelers brought in Joey Porter as an assistant coach to help Jones become a better pass rusher. Timmons, entering his eighth season, is solid against the run and Shazier has the ability to make an impact immediately. The Steelers are investigating ways to take advantage of Shazier's speed in their blitz packages. Williams started most of last season, but he could be in a battle to make the roster because the Steelers added two players with the flexibility to play inside and outside. Moats practiced mostly with the outside linebackers this spring, but he has the ability to move inside.
Source: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/team-report-pittsburgh-steelers-054021145--nfl.html

Hoosiers eager to get glimpse at new-look team - Yahoo Sports

I mean we're not going over there and winning all those games. No one's walking over there and saying we've got to be 5-0 to be a success. We've got to get better every day, to learn how to have that chemistry and have that traction from the chemistry and have some two-way players that don't get their head down when things aren't going well.'' Will that be the answer to the Hoosiers' struggles? ''We're growing,'' Crean said. ''Where it leads, I'm just not sure yet because of the youth of it.
Source: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/hoosiers-eager-glimpse-look-team-232737364--ncaab.html

Boy Found in Basement Alleges Long-Term Abuse by Parents - Child Abuse, Crime & Courts, Real People Stories : People.com

In a forensic interview conducted by the FBI on July 1, Charlie revealed that after being disciplined with the pipe, "he was often too sore to sit or walk," according to the petition. An FBI search of the home produced the pipe, which was found with blood on it. When Charlie was discovered, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said he'd never seen anything like this case. "We found him barricaded in the basement, behind boxes and a large drum," Craig told CNN affiliate WXYZ-TV . "There's no way he could have erected his makeshift area of concealment." Charlie stated, according to the petition, that his stepmother led him to the back of the basement and pointed to an area along the wall, telling him, "there, back there, go!" He then reported hearing her go upstairs and call his father to say he was missing.
Source: http://www.people.com/article/charlie-bothuell-boy-missing-basement-abused-by-parents?xid=rss-topheadlines

Following Castillo, Two More Cuban Stars Set To Stage Showcase -

The workout worked wonderfully for Castillo, who set a record for a Cuban player with that contract, even above White Sox star Jose Abreu's $68-million http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-6i89_EH70 deal, so why not? First baseman Jozzen Cuesta and lefthanded starter Misael Silverio will show off their talents at a dual workout at Roger Dean Stadium, the Jupiter, Fla. spring home of the Cardinals and Marlins, on Friday starting at 10 a.m. Both players are 25, and their free agency should give them a chance at a nice-sized deal -- though one AL talent evaluator cautioned that word is they are not believed to be in Castillo's category. Castillo was compared to Brett Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury before helping himself with a nice showcase in Miami that included some long home runs, and the Red Sox hope he can play center field for them this year. Cuesta, touted as a power hitter who can also play a corner outfield spot, hit .385 with a homer and six RBI for Cuba in the 2013 WBC, where he backed up the great Abreu, before defecting. In Cuba he played for Ciego de Avile.
Full story: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/following-castillo-two-more-cuban-094225476--spt.html

FOOTBALL: TWCA's Bento returns as quarterback after three ACL injuries - Your Houston News: Sports

It just really crushed my heart, and I didnt know where I was at, if I should keep playing. Ultimately, Bento made the decision to give it one last shot. Armed with a mindset that he was only down and not out, he fought through rehab after rehab and made his way back slowly each time. After a lot of praying and just thinking about it, I just decided I might as well play, he said. Im only going to get one opportunity to do this, so I just stuck to it. The road to recovery wasnt easy, especially having to face the gauntlet of physical therapy and remain motivated to keep pushing forward. It really sucked, Bento said.
Source: http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/woodlands/sports/football-twca-s-bento-returns-as-quarterback-after-three-acl/article_311e8a68-4edf-5078-b12d-044ee76c1c08.html

iMapMyWalk+ review - Yahoo News

Cons Drains battery: This application uses many of your phone's features, resulting in heavy power consumption. Battery life dropped up to 20 percent during our tests, depending on length http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/10/prweb11222047.htm and data service strength. Bottom Line iMapMyWalk+ is a strong application that is helpful and fully featured. The diet and exercise tracking tools are very thorough; and despite the heavy power usage, this application has almost no faults.
Source: http://news.yahoo.com/imapmywalk-review-231248154.html
